Taylor Swift was practically stampeded by fans as she arrived at the Narita Airport in Japan on Sunday, with crowds so large they actually impacted scheduling and caused flight delays, according to TMZ.
The 25-year-old faced the sizable crowd after flying out of LAX with her parents - Scott and Andrea Swift - ahead of the star's upcoming 1989 world tour, which begins on Tuesday.
She took to Instagram to capture the chaos, jokingly writing: 'A very low key arrival in Tokyo...' alongside a photo of the sea of fans that clogged the airport and appeared to give her security detail a heart attack.

THE TAYLOR SWIFT EXPERIENCE EXTENDED AT GRAMMY MUSEUM

The Taylor Swift Experience, an exhibit at the Los Angeles museum highlighting Taylor’s career, which was originally scheduled to close May 10, will remain at the museum through Oct. 4. 

 

The exhibit opened on Taylor’s 25th birthday – Dec. 13, 2014 – and features a singing booth where visitors can record their own version of We Are Never Getting Back Together, props from her Shake It Off music video, and wall-long timeline of her recording success, as well as other personal items and multimedia elements.

TAYLOR HONORED AT ACM AWARDS

Taylor was honored with a Milestone Award at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 19 in Arlington, Texas. The award recognizes artists that have advanced the popularity and acceptance of country music by accomplishing milestones unique to the Academy of Country Music. Taylor’s mother Andrea presented her with the award and gave a heartwarming speech thanking the ACMs for honoring Taylor as well as the entire music community for taking such good care of her. As part of her acceptance, Taylor praised country music for the way it shaped her career. 

 

“I’m so happy I learned to write songs in a town like Nashville,” said Taylor. “I’m so glad I learned what hard work is from my heroes who are sitting here.”
